Blake Davis was sentenced in court today.

Sydney man Blake Davis has been sentenced to five years and three months for the 2018 murder of local rapper Scepaz (real name Jett McKee).

As ABC reports, Justice Natalie Adams sentenced Davis in court today and handed him a non-parole period of two years and nine months.

Despite being cleared of murder, Davis was found guilty of manslaughter in December following the bungled home invasion in 2018.

It was reported at the time of McKee’s death that he entered Davis’ Forest Lodge flat wearing a balaclava and demanded money while armed with a replica pistol and pepper spray.

It's alleged that McKee attacked Davis with knuckle dusters after attempting to rob the home, before he fled to the street, where girlfriend Hannah Quinn - who was acquitted of McKee's murder - chased and tackled him. Davis allegedly followed with a Samurai sword when he then attacked McKee with it. McKee died at the scene.

During the trial, the court heard that McKee had toxic to lethal levels of the drug ice in his system and targeted Davis and Quinn's home as he believed they were dealing drugs.

"I am left with no doubt that the lives of both the McKee family and the Davis family have been shattered forever as a result of the events that occurred on Hereford Street, Forest Lodge," Justice Adams said.

While Quinn was acquitted in the murder, she was found guilty of being an accessory after the fact to manslaughter and will be sentenced next month.
