Blackie’s Return

The Hard-Ons guitarist has finalised details of his second solo album and booked a tour in support of it.

Peter Black – aka Blackie – was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons earlier this year after being the victim of a bashing while driving his cab in Sydney late one night. He suffered some very serious injuries but seems well on the road to recovery, in no small part thanks to the generosity of the Australian music community who banded together to raise funds to assist with his medical bills and living expenses while he was off the road.

He has now released information about his second solo album No Dangerous Gods In Tunnel, which will be released through Citadel Records on Friday 27 July, as well as a big east coast tour in support of it. He says the new record is far closer to where he wants to be with his acoustic fare than the first record was and that, while some of the songs are incredibly quiet and intimate, this is not a folk record.

We can't wait to hear it and we can't wait to see him on stage again. Shows are happening on the below dates.
