AND a remastered video for 'Shooting Stars'.
Bag Raiders have announced a deluxe vinyl reissue of their classic self-titled album to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
The Sydney duo released the album back in 2010, landing at #7 on the ARIA Albums Chart. In the years that followed, the album's track Shooting Stars blew up internationally thanks to some well circulating memes a few years back.
The deluxe vinyl is now available on pre-order, and features all-new liner notes from the pair, as well as photos from the past 10 years.
Additionally, the duo have also re-released the Shooting Stars video in a HD remastered version.
“Back when we first started out, we were fooling around in a garden shed in Rose Bay purely for the fun and craft of creating music. We never would have dreamed that we’d be able to take what we were doing, turn it into something real and play these songs all around the world a dozen times over," they shared.
"I guess that initial spark of joy; creating something from nothing and seeing how that made people react really resonated with us, especially in the legendary, sweaty clubs of Sydney in the mid-2000’s when the city’s resting heartbeat was 128BPM! Without this incredible scene and those amazing friendships, we might not be where we are today. Hold tight Sydney, the glory days will return!
"Music has always been such a massive part of our lives and to see the constant and countless messages, people going in hard at shows/festivals, copping our merch (or making their own), telling us to ‘Come to Brazil’, it’s crazy overwhelming but honestly the greatest gift that anyone could ever ask for!
"We’re forever indebted to our fans from day one, our community, our crews, our friends + families for the opportunity to do something we could only ever hold as a pipe dream. We hope in the future that we can give something special back to you all, because you all deserve it.
"It’s been a hell of a long road of highs and lows, so thank you for the love and thank you for listening."
