More Azealia Banks More Azealia Banks

Azealia Banks has once again taken aim at the team who brought her to Australia this month, doubling down on claims that she has not been paid.

Yesterday, promoter Bizarro issued a lengthy statement in which they insisted they, alongside touring agent Point Productions, had fulfilled their contractual obligations and that Banks had been paid in full, while also highlighting the rapper’s “disgraceful” behaviour while in the country, which involved cancelling shows, arriving late to events and more.

In their post yesterday, Bizarro stated, “We were not naive to Azealia’s reputation, but we were excited by her as an artist and felt confident that these were over sensationalised by the media and that she meant well.”

In response to the comments from Bizarro and Point Productions, Banks has taken to Instagram today, sharing, “Everybody knows, Azealia Banks is a fucking diva, I don’t have time for fucking bullshit.”

“In this attempt to assassinate my character and all that, there’s no mention of my motherfucking money. Where is the money, bitch?” she said.

“I don’t give a fuck what you think about my character.”

Following Banks’ tirade this morning, both Bizarro and Point Productions insisted once again that she had been paid, as reported by news.com.au.

The 212 rapper’s Australian tour was plagued by controversy.

After axing her Melbourne show last minute, Banks pulled the plug on her Brisbane date.

Point Productions, who Banks blasted when the Melbourne show fell through, posted to Instagram to announce the Brisbane date was unable to proceed "due to unforeseen circumstances" that were "well out of our control".

Earlier that day, though, Banks used her burner Instagram to air grievances with Australian fans.

She said, “I’m so sorry you guys, actually I’m not sorry, but listen: last time I was in Brisbane and ya’ll threw shit on the stage and damn near almost fucking hit me in the face with a fucking bottle of soda or whatever that shit was. That was the most racist, most demoralising experience of my fucking life and right now I’m on a really good track."

In a post yesterday, Banks wrote, "My gut instinct told me not to come down here and stay my ass home. Next time I will listen to myself. For I am more often than not.... always right.”

She added in another Instagram story, "YALL WHITE PEOPLE DOWN HERE ARE BROKE AND RACIST LMAO," and labelled Bizarro and Point Productions "pubic lice".
