It's true!
UPDATE:
Avenged Sevenfold have confirmed the world's worst kept secret that they'll be dropping their seventh album, The Stage, digitally and physically today. It's the band's first on Capitol Records, coinciding with the outfit's livestream from atop the Capitol Records building in LA.
The 11-track album kicks off with their first single, The Stage, and features a 15-minute closer featuring spoken word from the inimitable Neil deGrasse Tyson.
The Stage is available now.

ORIGINAL STORY:
Californian hard rockers Avenged Sevenfold are reportedly gearing up to drop a new album today, presumably towards the end of a global 360-degree live stream they're broadcasting from 2pm today.
Leaks suggest the band's new album — their seventh — is set to be titled The Stage and will be the first record to feature drummer Brooks Wackerman, following Arin Ilejay's exit last year.
A tracklist and album cover have also surfaced on social media.
The band have already released a song and video called The Stage, which punters can reportedly experience in a global, 3D/360-degree event this afternoon in partnership with Universal Music Group. The event will utilise the VRTGO VR app allowing people to watch from all over the world, while fans at the event can "virtually transport themselves to the stage" with a VR headset they'll have on.
