None of this "mystery blimp" or "deep web" business this time
The legendary Richard D James — better known by his moniker Aphex Twin — has been surreptitiously making his way back into people's minds of late. First, there was a mysterious blimp floating over London, then he took to the "deep web" to cryptically unveil information about something about which fans have been hypothesising for the better part of the past thirteen years — a new album.
Now, Aphex Twin has made things as by the book as he possibly can with an official announcement of the imminence of Syro, his first new full-length effort since 2001's Drukqs.
Well, it's sort of an official announcement. It includes sentences like "James, whose rooster has been the slow development, including his own labia under different names around to releasing singles and EPS. Her next full-length record together since 1995 ... I think it she will be issued," which we swear to god we have not remotely changed.
Also, "A lot of the music in any way is often a lack of communication and leadership to be fallacious rumors of new material for his fannies and his enthusiasm has not diminished hope", just so you know.

Truthfully, it's one of the most refreshing press releases in recent memory, skewering so much of the vapidity and hyperbole that tends to accompany such grandstanding, so it's good to be able to just cut to the facts: Syro will be released Friday, September 19, and available in CD, digital and (triple) vinyl formats, and its track list looks a little something like this:
01. minipops 67 [120.2][source field mix] [aka as the manchester track]
02. XMAS_EVET10 [120][thanaton3 mix]
03. produk 29 [101]
04. 4 bit 9d api+e+6 [126.26]
