Anders Bjorler reveals details of solo album

At The Gates and The Haunted guitarist Anders Björler has announced renowned Swedish session musician Morgan Ågren will play drums on his upcoming solo album, The Antikythera Mechanism.

As well as playing drums for Swedish progressive rock band Kaipa, fans of extreme metal may recognise Morgan Ågren for his performance on Meshuggah guitarist Fredrik Thordendal’s 1997 solo album, Sol Niger Within.

Ågren is the first session musician enlisted by Björler to contribute to the album, which is due out later this year.

Björler posted some studio footage of Ågren recording drums for the album.
