Don't say you weren't warned.

If you're a NSW artist and looking for a bit of a funding, there is a window of opportunity for you.

MusicNSW currently have two grant rounds open that are perfect for both emerging artists, venues, booking agents and artist managers.

The first is the Opportunity Development grant which is currently accepting a second round of applicants and covers opportunities such as the Electronic Music Conference, Face The Music and the Australian Songwriters Conference.

Round one recipients were announced just last week and include a string of BIGSOUND 2017 acts such as Ruby Fields, Thandi Phoenix, Body Type, Manu Crook$ and Sloan Peterson.

The second round of the Opportunity Development grant closes on 6 October — click here for more details.

"The Opportunity Development Grant is for artists and managers wanting to make the most of an opportunity – be it going on a support tour, showcasing at an event or attending a conference," MusicNSW Managing Director Emily Collins told The Music.

"Sometimes artists are denied these opportunities because they simply don’t have the cash to afford it – which is where we come in! It’s just a great way for MusicNSW to support musicians trying to make the most of opportunities."

Meanwhile, the AAA Grant, which encourages venues, artists and managers to present more all-ages shows in Sydney, is also open now and closes on 29 September — click here for more information.

Collins added, "It's a no-brainer that Sydney needs more all-ages gigs and we're thrilled that City of Sydney and MusicNSW can support venues, promoters and artists to share the joy of live music with all-age audiences."
