Alexisonfire announce farewell tour details

After posting a mysterious ticker on their website last week, Alexisonfire have unsurprisingly announced details of a farewell tour. The only confirmed Australian dates are for Sydney and Melbourne, with the band set to play Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on December 11, and Festival Hall in Melbourne on December 12.

Since their split last August, members of Alexisonfire have been working on various projects. Frontman George Pettit has guested on albums from Cancer Bats and Fucked Up, while Dallas Green has been spending more time on his City and Colour project. Wade MacNeil is currently providing lead vocals for Gallows, as well as continuing his work with Black Lungs.

In regards to their farewell tour, Alexisonfire have said, "We know that this tour doesn’t reach all of you, and this list is sure to cause some disappointment, but know that we have done our best to fit what we can into this window of time. December 2012 is the only time that all 5 of us aren’t committed to something in our personal or professional lives."
