Geraldton-bred pop-punk upstarts Alex The Kid found themselves pushed into the national spotlight at triple j's recent One Night Stand event, where they opened the festivities as winners of an Unearthed competition.

The ebullient five-piece are now looking to the next step in their fledgling careers — namely, a national tour — and they've turned to their growing fanbase for a little bit of financial assistance to help get them across the line.

To that end, Alex The Kid have announced a once-off showing at 459, North Perth, on Friday 17 June, where they will perform blink-182's seminal 1997 album Dude Ranch — including, yes, Dammit and Josie but also under-appreciated evergreen favourites such as Pathetic, Dick Lips and Untitled.

All proceeds from the show will go towards getting Alex The Kid on the road in the second half of this year. They'll be supported by El CapitanHope Street and All In All.
