Politicians and political commentators converge on the Melbourne Writers Festival edition of ABC program

Always informative, often entertaining, occasionally controversial, the 24 August edition of ABC TV's Q&A will be broadcast live from the Melbourne Writers Festival.

Mediated by regular host by Tony Jones, among the issues to be discussed will be political writing, with three members of the evening's panel - former Queensland Premier Anna Bligh, Howard Cabinet minister Peter Reith and Independent MP Tony Windsor - having published political memoirs. Balancing them are politics publisher Louise Adler and political journalist and author Annabel Crabb.

Simulcast live nationally, as always the program will be inviting questions from not only the live audience but from viewers via the usual array of social media, so, whether you're attending Melbourne Writers Week or not, you can still be a part of the discussion.
