Archie Roach, Nick Cave & Paul Kelly Releases Make 2021 Aus Book Industry Awards Shortlist

Music legends Archie Roach, Nick Cave and Paul Kelly find their names among this year’s Australian Book Industry Awards shortlist.

Vying for Biography Book of the Year is Mark Mordue’s Boy On Fire: The Young Nick Cave and Stuart Coupe’s Paul Kelly, while Roach’s acclaimed Tell Me Why memoir is a contender for Audio Book of the Year.

Additionally, comedian and cooking star Nat's What I Reckon’s Un-cook Yourself: A Ratbag’s Rules For Life is up for General Non-fiction Book of the Year.

The winners of the 2021 Australian Book Industry Awards will be revealed on April 28 at a ceremony at Carriageworks that will be broadcast via YouTube from 7:30pm AEST.

The awards ceremony will also feature appearances from Cate Blanchett, Nat's What I Reckon, Matt Okine and more alongside a performance from Ash Grunwald.
