"Definitely not what fans were expecting."

More Thirty Seconds To Mars More Thirty Seconds To Mars

After waiting for five years for a new album, Thirty Seconds To Mars has finally released their fifth LP America and it's definitely not what fans were expecting.

Bands always grow and change, so does their sound, and Thirty Seconds To Mars have taken a direction with a bit more pop and techno than rockier albums This Is War and A Beautiful Lie. First single Walk On Water is refreshing with its pop-rock vibes and choir of voices chanting as Jared Leto's incredible vocals take over. Dangerous Night takes on pop with infectious bass that gets one dancing.

Love Is Madness featuring Halsey is going to smash the charts. Their chemistry in the song is dreamy. Hasley's and Leto's vocals are both so different but pair together perfectly, it's just magic. With marching drums leading into a roaring climax of synths and violins, Monolith feels like you're charging into battle or could even be a great song for a fight scene. Live Like A Dream is about being free and having fun, added singing from a crowd giving the track a live feel. It's definitely not the Thirty Seconds to Mars we once knew, but pushing boundaries and trying new things might just work for them, especially since no matter what Jared Leto sings it's going to sound amazing.
