The Senior Producer helps realise and deliver a diverse, ambitious, and ultimately successful program of key events as part of QLD Music Trails as directed by the Executive Producer and Head of Event Experience. This role connects communities, elevates the arts, and fosters collaboration to leave a lasting legacy through events, by:

  • leading the development of events, curating unique venues, amazing artists, and immersive tourism experiences to craft unforgettable moments. 

  • managing the event budget inclusive of forecasting and reconciliation and ensure the event is delivered within the allocated budget

  • facilitating opportunities for community members to actively participate in the event, such as part of the program (workshops or interactive sessions)

  • building and maintain relationships with businesses and community leaders that operate in the tourism, arts and cultural sector, to amplify the value of programming delivered by QLD Music Trails.

About You

More than an experienced event producer, you thrive on turning ambitious ideas into reality.  Calm, consistent, and decisive, you bring stability and clarity to dynamic environments, ensuring the producing team remains focused and aligned in achieving their goals.

  • Significant experience in event producing, managing outdoor programming and activations in a multi-venue festival setting and/or touring productions.

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, to foster collaboration across diverse groups.

  • Exceptional project management skills including prioritisation, delegation, and the supervision of large teams (employees and contractors).

  • Creatively driven and resourceful, enabling you to operate autonomously in fast-paced and frequently changing environment.

  • Available to work evenings, weekends and/or public holidays as determined by QLD Music Trails calendar.
