Lime Tree Music is an international PR & radio agency focused on promoting Country & Americana artists worldwide. We are currently active in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, with more territories to follow over the next 12-18 months. We are expanding to start building a small team based in Australia, to work remotely alongside our existing London-based team members.

We’re looking for a self-motivated music publicist to join our team, with a proven track record of delivering successful PR and/or radio campaigns in Australia, initially on a full-time (38 hours per week) 6-month contract, with a view to extending into a permanent role.

This is an opportunity to join our team in a period of continued growth, while our Australia/New Zealand business is at an early stage - the right candidate will be someone who wants to make the role their own and grow with us over the long term, with a view to helping develop the local market to help make it a success.

Our campaigns target press, online, radio, TV, podcasts, social media influencers, and streaming curators, and we work with major record labels, independent artists and labels, and management companies.

The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of the Australian Country music market, at least 2 years’ relevant experience working in a music/entertainment PR or radio promotion role, with great communication skills and a portfolio of work to show self-developed successful campaigns and examples of strong coverage for both new and established acts.

Location is flexible, though availability to travel and work in major Australian cities occasionally when required is essential.

If you love music and take pride in thinking outside the box to get things done, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working remotely alongside our team to develop and execute creative online and print PR campaigns, primarily targeting media in Australia and New Zealand

  • Servicing new music to radio, with campaigns focused on maximising airplay and gaining success on the Countrytown Hot 50 chart

  • Occasional travel to Sydney, Brisbane or other locations to attend media days, music festivals and other live events to accompany interviews and maintain connections with media outlets

  • Independently using existing personal connections with journalists and radio/broadcast contacts and influencers to gain results for ongoing artist projects

  • Representing the Lime Tree Music brand in the Australian market through effective communication with media and other industry professionals

  • Working alongside the team to maintain up to date and accurate media contact lists on an ongoing basis

  • Compile, write and deliver monthly client reports

  • Helping guide the strategy for growth in Australia and New Zealand, and helping develop relationships with the local music industry

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 2+ years experience working in a PR or radio promotion role, with a portfolio of earned media coverage

  • Team player with an ability to work independently/remotely

  • Strong understanding of the role of PR within the music industry, and related knowledge of key editorial targets, ideally including specific music publications, radio stations, and local/national outlets in Australia and New Zealand

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities

  • Experience working knowledge of office software like Google Workspace (Docs/Drive/Sheets), and PR software like Muck Rack

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Music Business, or related field preferred
