The weekly event is a free showcase featuring Aussie acts like Sesame Girl, Chris Lanzon, Dante Knows, Slim Jimz, Seaside, and more.
Sydney's music scene is set to receive a significant boost as Yours and Owls announces a new partnership with the iconic Shark Bar in Manly as it aims to bring an array of high-quality live music to the Northern Beaches.
Shark Bar, known for its intimate setting with a 300-person capacity, is nestled within the New Brighton Hotel on Manly's bustling Corso.
The venue is gearing up for a series of exciting events, starting with Shark Bar Saturdays. The weekly event, commencing in December, is a free showcase featuring some of Australia's most promising emerging acts, including Sesame Girl, Chris Lanzon, Dante Knows, Slim Jimz, Seaside, and more.
The collaboration will also see Shark Bar hosting touring artists and bands from 2024, as Yours and Owls plan to route ticketed tours through the venue. The aim is to run 2-3 shows per week, significantly increasing the live music offerings on the Northern Beaches.
The series will kick off with a solo show by Grinspoon frontman and Australian music legend Phil Jamieson this January.
"We are stoked to be bringing high-quality live music to the Northern Beaches and can't think of a better way to achieve that than with the Yours & Owls team,” says venue manager Henry Cockerton. “I'm sure all the locals are just as excited as we are to see some awesome bands come through Shark Bar this Summer and into next year!"
