The Beths – Great Southern Nights

Hailing from Tamaki Makaurau—aka Auckland, New Zealand—The Beths will play two special, intimate shows at Melbourne/Naarm's Corner Hotel and Sydney/Eora’s Crowbar this March.

The Beths have had a formidable two years following the release of their widely acclaimed third album, 2022’s Expert In A Dying Field, playing 200 shows across North America, the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

The Beths’ exuberant live shows move deftly from blistering power-pop and punk to heartstring-tugging balladry and Antipodean jangle-rock. Lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and songwriter Elizabeth Stokes’ distinctly Kiwi drawl is front and centre, uttering one clever witticism and insightful observation after the next. Jonathan Pearce (guitar) makes shredding an art form, while Benjamin Pearce (bass) and Tristan Deck (drums) are a formidable rhythm section, propelling the band through a growing catalogue of indie rock gems lit up with sparkling four-part harmonies.
