Agave Spirits Tasting with Julz Recsei from North Byron Liquor Merchants.Julz has 25 years of hospitality experience in restaurants, bars and bottle shops and worked for the Sun Bistro / North Byron Hotel Bottle shop for almost 10 years.

Julz has been in love with the agave world for decades and has watched the rest of the world chat up on the wonders of the amazing agave.

Julz will share with you the good word of amazing agave spirits offering you a selection of his favourite agave spirits including Arette Tequila (Jalisco Mexico) and Nuestra Soledad Mezcal (Oaxaca Mexico) to taste and purchase for take away.

What do you take away from the Tasting

Explanation of the history of agave, where and why it is made differently in different parts of Mexico. Explanation how ow these different areas, agave varieties and distilling procedures create their own unique taste. Look at the cultural significance of Agave in Mexican culture. Taste a selection of different Agave Spirits, Tequila, and Mezcal.
