Naarm/Melbourne five piece garage psych outfit Mature Themes launch their debut record ‘Another Kind of Life’ - nine tracks of raucous psychedelic and cinematic exploration on Friday August 8th at The Bergy Bandroom.
So far, 2025 saw the outfit release two singles, ‘Sweet Release’ and ‘Bows + Arrows’, two vastly different tracks showcasing the bands ability to cover various territory within the psych/garage rock subgenre. Both tracks saw rotation across community radio, plus the colourful and retro video for the former securing heavy airplay on RAGE during its first week of release.
'Another Kind of Life' - cements the band as an up and comer to watch. Recorded and produced by James Lloyd (Go Dog Go), the album was carefully crafted throughout 2024 in their home studio, with Lloyds's production giving the songs a depth and variety previously unexplored by the band.
Joined by special guests Hobsons Bay Coast Guard + Al Matcott & The Forever Band.
