Hot from England in the 1990s, Magic Badger are a Sydney-based 4-piece guitar band playing British Rock. Think the Kinks to The Rolling Stone Roses, dressed in suede and elastica. With undertones of super furry bunnymen, the Badgers will bring a blur and clash of proxy music echoing back to pre-Brexit sonic heaven. They are the Cure to the Darkness within. With emphasis on the non-obvious and less cheesy, Magic Badger aim to play to stadium crowds but will grudgingly settle for pub backrooms in the meantime. Loud, raw, light-hearted yet strangely erotic, Magic Badger are making up for time lost to changing nappies and rehab. Never mind the Horlicks, here are some Magic Badger’s reviews...
“If this is the future of music, I’m out” [John Smith, Melody Maker; 1998]
“I used to really like those songs” [Dave Jones, Dog and Duck, 2006]
