a bit about the song "Lilium"Lilium is the latest release from Indigo Hue, a raw and honest song about navigating the chaos of a breakup and a confusing new situation-ship. With a blend of heartbreak, self-discovery, and messy love triangles, Lilium (named after the lily flower) is a reflection on past mistakes and the journey toward self-empowerment. It’s a tale of woe that turns into a powerful anthem of growth and resilience.

Our artists for the nightIndigo Hue:Picture this… a more approachable and more gay John Mayer.Introducing John Gayer! (a.k.a. Indigo Hue).Indigo blends indie rock, jazz, and melancholy lyrics that tug at your heartstrings, capturing the chaos of sapphic love and heartbreak. Based in Meanjin (Brisbane) since 2022, she’s shared the stage with Matt Maltese, Maddy Jane, and more, and recently toured the east coast with Naarm’s Hassall (2024). Her sophomore release, The Room, is a dreamy indie-folk ballad, while her debut, Romantic Overthinker, tells a classic queer tale of unrequited love. Next up, Indigo's new single Lilium explores the messy emotions of heartbreak and self-discovery, marking a heavy step forward in her music. With unwavering confidence and cheeky humour, get ready to fall in love and maybe even hold hands with Indigo Hue.Council GroundBorn out of creative frustration, Council Ground challenges the conventions of alternative rock with their atmospheric melodies, raw emotion, and brutally honest lyrics. Their sound swings between indie-pop beauty and post-punk angst, capturing the waywardness and chaos of life.

Plain JaneStep into the world of Plain Jane, where timeless indie pop meets folk, blues, and a touch of country. With bold vocals, enchanting guitars, and heartfelt lyrics, this duo crafts a transcendent musical experience that’s both captivating and unforgettable.
