On the last Weekend of every month, Perth metal night HORNOGRAPHY comes around with killer live bands, metal DJ, giveaways, resident photographer, merch, and a whole lot of good wholesome debauchery! Perth death metal band ASHEN return with the crushing new album ‘Leave the Flesh Behind’ — a 10-track descent into the unknown. Rooted in themes of shedding the mortal coil and confronting the void beyond, this is death metal steeped in atmosphere, darkness, and devastation. ASHEN return from a string of tour dates across the country to launch their brand new album at Hornography on Friday September 26th. Joining them on the night will be horror brutalists INIQUITOUS MONOLITH, metal extremists ALLOCER and death metal maniacs VILE MUTILATION.Ashen's new album ‘Leave the Flesh Behind’ is a ten-track monolith that drags listeners deep into a shadow realm where the mortal coil is cast off and only the unknown remains. Conceptually rooted in the severance of the mortal form and the dark and the speculative realms that may lie beyond, the album is a brooding exploration of death, transcendence, and what remains when the flesh decays.
