Hill/Hall/Raymond + Bubble Trubble

Hill/Hall/Raymond:
Gabriella Hill (tenor saxophone), Henry Hall (double bass) and Daniel Raymond (drums) have recently started playing together as a trio. At times Henry’s pulsing bass lines fuse with Daniel’s drumming to resemble the workings of idiomatic music, though Gabriella’s vocal-like saxophone playing steers the collective sound away from convention. Conversely, at the softest volume the ensemble seems to create a sound where breath, bow and drumstick find themselves interacting in new ways.

Bubble Trubble:
A new project arises from an unlikely combination of individuals - Aidan Wong blowing long and spitty tones on tenor sax, Peter Farrar playing tiles submerged in water, all while the powerhouse guitar duo Eric Tsai and David Turner pluck away. There is no good way of describing the music that happens, so you better come and find out at Stadium Rockdale 14th Sep, 8pm
