As we celebrate Wes 22 Fest in celebration of 22 years of live local music, the Wes presents a FREE bandroom Gig - Ofri
Ofri is a Sydney-based singer-songwriter whose unashamedly candid lyrics and intricate piano-vocal arrangements form a particular (and peculiar) brand of chamber folk. Her debut album That Heavy Magnetism (4/7/24) was described by AAA Backstage as “a must-listen … a rich, musical experience that’s as thought-provoking as it is mesmerising”. Inspired by legends of alternative songwriting such as Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor and Sufjan Stevens, Ofri's performances with her horn-woodwind-rhythm combo dance dynamically between raw emotionality and heartfelt subtlety.
