The Culture X Festival returns from 12–14 September 2025 with a fresh new home at Bankstown Arts Centre and an exciting three-day program of interactive music, dance, and cultural celebration.
Culture X is a community-engaged music festival that celebrates the rich cultural diversity of Western Sydney through world-class performances, immersive experiences, and boundary-pushing collaborations.
Culture X 2025 is the Festival of YOU!
Do a workshop or showcase your freestyle rap technique in ‘any language’ and perform at the Festival.
Festival Director Richard Petkovic says: “This year is about bringing people together to celebrate who we are as individuals, and the incredible richness we create together. Bankstown is the perfect place to showcase this vision of a contemporary multicultural Australia and a Festival that makes YOU the star.”
Friday Night party kicks off with drumming workshops, DJ Flygirl Tee throwing down tunes and the DJ's, horns and Drumming of FBI’s Bare Necessities Collective, spinning dance-floor gems from all corners of the earth with loads of special guests. Saturday offers African Dance Workshops, HipHop Sessions, and Riffs, Rhymes and Grooves from Western Sydney with Worlds Collide, Step into a high-energy, interactive night where music, dance and culture Collide and the audience becomes part of the show! Sunday presents the indigenous acknowledgement to country and smoking ceremony followed by award winning Persian Fusion ensemble Avaye Rood . Poetry with a fusion of cultures and a symphony of souls and harmonies, blending eastern melodies with western rhythms, Avaye Rood led by composer Behrad Ansari in Ritual Concert, It's a mixed bag of free and ticketed events so be sure to book or rsvp and check out the full program at https://www.culturexfestival.org.au/program2025
