This Friday the Junk Bar presents 'Cosmic Roots' an exceptional line up of four local bands surely heading for bigger stages in 2025.
The Amazing The play manic klezmer vaudeville and have ‘Woodford’ written all over them.
Dublin Rose writes irresistible pop songs, with anthemic waltz-time single ‘For What’ dropping soon. Cattle Dog’s fiddle-driven hoedown evokes the spirit of mid-seventies Neil Young and Crazy Horse. Shade Hadie are Brisbane’s finest young blues group, their Tom Waits swagger totally appropriate for Bluesfest.
As much as these bands take inspiration from their generic roots, they are also looking to a future where styles past and present blend in a cosmic melting pot.
