CATNIP THE BAND is widely acclaimed as Melbourne’s premier “ Solid Gold/Classic Hits band performing the songs of BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, BRYAN ADAMS, THE EAGLES, ROBERT PALMER, JOE COCKER, DRAGON, MONDO ROCK, BILLY JOEL, JOHN “COUGAR” MELLENCAMP. COLD CHISEL, INXS and more. Catnip the Band recently performed on the Rock the Boat Pacific Cruise with Aussie Legends JIMMY BARNES, JON STEVENS, DARYL BRAITHWAITE, JOE CAMILLERI.
Other recent performances include Music on the Green ( with The Herberts ), Crown Palladium, Melbourne, Twin Towns, Gold Coast and as Special Guests on Billy Ocean’s One World Tour ( Palais theatre in 2025).
CATNIP THE BAND is ALDO LENNARD ( TV & recording Artist with Lennard Brothers & founding members of Kaleidoscope ) on vocals/percussion, BARRY HOOPER shared stage/s with NORMIE ROWE, RONNIE BURNS, THE DRIFTERS ( USA) on bass/vocals, ROB “KIWI “ WEBB from New Zealand on guitar / vocals, MIKE O’DOWD from The James Morganfield Blues Band, The Wanderers on drums & BERNIE MAC from Prorata Band on vocals/, keyboards, harmonica.
CATNIP THE BAND’s mission is to “ feel good & party ” and audience involvement is our journey. However, be aware, “ side effects include toe tapping, dancing, singing, shouting, getting up on the good foot and getting down with your bad self when you “ rewind the classics” with CATNIP THE BAND.
