SEMI FINAL 2 FEATURES...
Buttermello (Wildcard)
Buttermello is an upbeat indie band from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Formed in November 2020 and quickly becoming a local favorite, packing venues across the coast.
The band have recently supported a range of Australian Indie bands including Shag Rock, Rum Jungle, The Rion's, Sunroom and The Moving Stills. The boys are stoked for the latest single which has been a long time in the making. Rolling into 2025 with new music and an absolutely energizing live set.
Elsewhere
Brisbane’s Elsewhere is a female fronted 5-piece, fusing alternative rock with R&B, soul, funk and dance. The band formed at university, connecting over their shared obsession with groove. Each member’s unique style creates an inimitable blend of sound that makes up Elsewhere. Their sound pulls from influences like Fontaines D.C., Anderson .Paak, Khruangbin, Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu creating a blend of high-energy intensity, colourful melodies and introspective lyricism.
Their first backyard gig was a packed-out success, setting the tone for a performance style that’s raw, exciting and passionate. Their live set has earnt them consistent praise for their tight musicianship, infectious energy, and standout vocal performances. Recently signed to Vermilion Records, the band is gearing up for new releases this year working towards their debut EP. If you’re looking for a band that grooves hard, Elsewhere is one to watch.
Ivy
Ivy is a 26 year old Brisbane artist who makes beautiful, dark indie/rock music. Taking inspiration from artists such as Jack White, Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey and Radiohead, Ivy has been playing the Open Mic circuit and writing many original songs in preparation for her first release.
The Graveyard Club
The Graveyard Club is a four-piece, Brisbane-based, Alt-Rock band that has their sights set on carving their identity into the local music scene. Having been inspired by iconic rock bands the group aims to innovate the rock genre. The Graveyard Club offers brutally honest perspectives on emotionally charged experiences paired with lush vocals and a variety of rock styles.
