Palinola
Palinola is an alternative rock/metal band hailing from Toowoomba Queensland. They mix the infectious melodies of alternative rock/pop punk with hard hitting guitar riffs found in 2010s post hardcore . After releasing their debut Ep “Static Divide” in 2025 Palinola, has their eyes set on dominating the Australian alternative music scene.
quinn
Formed in March earlier this year and formerly known as cato, quinn is a shoegaze inspired indie band looking to bring its sound to Brisbane's local scene. The band originated from a Facebook post from Joe who was looking to start a band, and luckily enough Dane responded. Over the next couple weeks, we gathered together Adrian, Seamus and Klaire and the rest was history. With influences spanning shoegaze, post-hardcore, indie rock, and folk genres, quinn's ethereal tones are set to hit the masses.
Vondetto
Vondetto is a four piece rock band from Meanjin/Brisbane, with a stylish indie twist to their sound. With a diverse live show filled with high energy and deep emotional moments, you really get a feel for the band’s vibe and atmosphere. Inspirations range from Queens of the Stone Age to Inhaler, the band's sound is constantly evolving and are hungry for more ears to hear them. With Hugo’s powerful voice and crushing rhythm guitar, Charlies Melodic yet technical lead lines and angelic falsetto, Ava’s locked and clocked attitude on the bass and Ethan’s distinct rhythms and thwacking power behind the kit, you won't be forgetting them anytime soon.
vincent (Wildcard)
vincent is the new project of Meanjin-based singer-songwriter Annabelle Barnes. Blending indie-folk with a splash of pop-rock, their sound moves between soaring landscapes and stark, bare introspection. vincent now gears up to release their debut body of work, a coming-of-age story dealing with change, loss and the messy arrival at new versions of oneself. In their live set, vincent and her band offer something honest, warm, and a raw to audiences across Meanjin.
