Aussie songstress Diana Anaid today unveils a powerful musing on gender identity and the transgender experience in the form of her new film clip for single Better Girl, premiering exclusively on theMusic.com.au.

The song and video were truly a family affair with the tune written for Anaid’s transgender sister and the clip directed by the singer’s son, Stone May.

"The direction of the short film came out of the desire to make a positive and influential film about transgender people which challenges stereotypes and makes the viewer feel a little uncomfortable at times," Anaid said.

"The story was written to raise awareness around transphobia and homophobia and emphasize a more positive light on the whole experience."

To celebrate the impactful single, Anaid is heading out on a massive east coast tour that kicks off at the end of April in Nimbin and runs right through until the end of May.
