Sydney indie pop outfit Dande & The Lion reveal their latest music video, 'Higher Places'.

More Dande & The Lion More Dande & The Lion

The latest single from Sydney indie pop outfit Dande & The Lion “is about human connection”, as captured in their latest music video.

Premiering today via The Music, the clip for Higher Places, as the band describes, reflects “the significance of how seemingly inconsequential choices can lead to significant changes in our lives”.

“I was inspired by Run Lola Run to try and capture this concept and worked extremely closely with our cinematographer, Simon Watts, to use the different camera techniques and colour palettes to create a contrast between ‘present day’ with the band and different choices leading up to the gig with the band,” vocalist and guitarist Natassa Zoë said.

“This was my first crack at directing and producing and I learnt a lot, to say the least [big belly laugh].”

Higher Places is the band’s first release since their Twilight Highway EP in 2019 and will be supported by a hometown show at Three Wise Monkeys next month.

Also in 2019, The Music premiered Dande & The Lion single Stardust.
