2015 highlight of the year
A highlight for me was interviewing Courtney Barnett on community radio in Hobart. It was the first day of her Aussie tour supporting the release of Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit and we chatted about her former job as a pizza delivery driver before she played the track Elevator Operator live in the studio on her first guitar, which she brought in from her childhood home. Sadly, I bumped in to Courtney (and partner Jen Cloher) at the supermarket the following day while hungover in my pyjamas (It's Tasmania, okay? You're more likely to be looked at for dressing nicely) and I could let this tarnish my fond memory, but instead I justify that if anyone couldn't care less for what I was wearing, it would be Courtney.
prediction for 2016
Mind-blowing live shows, contemporary music on cassette and MORE WOMEN IN MUSIC!
