"A psychedelic Soviet prison ode to the memory of dear mama."
Need some more Russian folk-punk in your life? Well you're in luck. Melbourne's VulgarGrad return tomorrow with a brand new single, I Remember, and we've got the exclusive premiere here at theMusic.com.au today.
The first single off a forthcoming LP, The Odessa Job, the album will be the band's first full-length release in ten years.
With "rowdy swashbuckling vocal vibes to boot", I Remember is described as "a psychedelic Soviet prison ode to the memory of dear mama, who always warned us not to hang out with thieves". The band is fronted by actor Jacek Koman of Moulin Rouge!, Children Of Men, Defiance and recently Tidelands fame.
VulgarGrad will be officially launching the single at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne this Friday with support from Sludge Party. Scroll down to theGuide for all the details.
