Single title? Outsiders

What's the song about? It's a cool little story about mateship and rebellion, and not living in some idealistic way.

How long did it take to write/record? The main guitar lick and chorus sections came quickly. The slowly building outro section was viewed as a great way to end. We had a clear recording vision, tracking in a day and mixing later.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? This is a standalone single release, which is officially out on 25 March via The A&R Department. It could very well end up being part of a more extensive release in the future.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? It really was listening to music that had a real groove and swag about it. This inspired the sparseness of the riff, driving the beat and rhythmic vocal delivery. The lyrics perfectly fit the vibe.

We'll like this song if we like... Artists like the Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and even Kasabian.

Do you play it differently live? Ever so slightly. We're a three-piece so we stick to the songs' core principles. We definitely concentrate on delivering with plenty of dynamic energy.

When and where is your launch/next gig? We are celebrating the Outsiders single release with a cool show at The Boston in Northbridge on Saturday, 19 Mar. Other great local acts fill out the line-up.
