Single title? Poisonous Pill
What's the song about? Closing the door on someone, being the only person left in the room, and being totally cool with that.
How long did it take to write/record? It had been in our live set for a while before we headed into the studio with Dylan Olivierre to record it over a few days late last year. T'was a fun time.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Single release
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? This song reflects my personality perfectly, and the attitude of the song is largely a 'take it or leave it' vibe, so it was easy to look inwards and stay true to the song's soul.
We'll like this song if we like… Chicken Parmigiana, coco-whip ice cream, playing with doggos. Musically - Probably Tame Impala, The Beatles, Mac Demarco.
Do you play it differently live? There's a lot more dancing and thrusting from us than in the recording. Well, we danced just as much when we recorded it, but you can't really hear it, unfortunately.
When and where is your launch/next gig? You can catch us at Four5Nine, Rosemount Hotel on Jan 28 when we launch the music video with our friends Raksha, Kallan Phillips and Yellow Castle.
