What was inspiring you during the song’s writing and recording? Strong ‘70s rock star divorcees such as Bianca Jagger, Cher and Priscilla Presley, blaxploitation soundtracks, ‘60s Motown and ‘70s rare groove influenced a lot of the sounds and compositions on the album.

Do you play it differently live? I have an alternate reggae version of this track which is played live occasionally. But generally this track is pumped out as per the record but with more handclaps!
