Single title? Get It Right
What's the song about? It's about toxic relationships. About times when you want to be with someone even though it's a bad idea.
How long did it take to write/record? The song has been completed in a demo form for roughly six months. We've been playing the hell out of it live to get a feel for whether or not people liked it. They did.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? It's part of a series of singles, the next one will be releasing early next year.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? The need to write new music. I was thinking about previous relationships, romantic and non-romantic, that felt poisonous to me in some way, and how that affected my life at the time.
We'll like this song if we like... Any of the So Cal bands like FIDLAR or Wavves. It's also inspired by Glasgow band PAWS.
Do you play it differently live? This song was really refined in a live setting for a long time so the recording is pretty close, the recording was built around the live format of this song.
When and where is your launch/next gig? The single launch is at Babushka Leederville on Friday 4 December.
