Single title: Skyscraper Tan

What's the song about? Failing romance in a pretentious city.

How long did it take to write/record? It was my first song. Guitar first, then slowly the words came. Big League formed a year afterwards, then it was complete. Recording the 7" was quick — both tracks were knocked out in a day.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Skyscraper Tan is the first side of our new double single vinyl 7" Skyscraper Tan/Heston Front.

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? My new Les Paul Special, '90s indie, D tuning.

We'll like this song if we like... Pavement, Guided By Voices, Teenage Fanclub, Custard.

Do you play it differently live? Yeah, we try to keep it pretty loose and fun live. For the recording we tried to make something memorable that will hopefully still get played in years to come.
