When did you start songwriting and why? My first song was in a band with my two cousins and two brothers when we were in primary school. I was 12. My uncle was a muso and recorded us in our backyard shed.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Electro indie-pop.

Is songwriting something that comes easy to you or do you have to work at it? Because I have been writing for many years now it is something that comes quite natural to me. However, I am continually discovering new ways to create and grow as a writer.

In what ways does it help having The Real Songwriters of Melbourne helping to showcase you? It is great having RSOM on board as they create so many opportunities and promo for us to reach a wider audience than just our friend circle and current fan base.

What is it that makes Melbourne a good place to write songs? It's very innovative and has a huge creative vibe to it. The support from fellow musicians and artists is incredible, and we are so lucky to have such a happening live music scene here.

When and where is your Real Songwriters Live gig? 1 Oct, Wesley Anne.
