The long awaited third EP from Perth alt-rockers The Disappointed has finally arrived and sees the band continue to pull their music in multiple directions, led by eclectic frontman Michael Strong’s haunting and powerful vocals.
The first taste of Disappear was dished up in 2015 with opener and lead single Find A Rope, and after dropping another single last year, Start Of Something, it was clear that five years into existence, The Disappointed had locked into something unique and memorable.
“We’ve hit that wall that undoes so many bands, stared at the abyss and contemplated, even longed for, it’s heavy nothingness,” the band said. “We’ve come through it with a better understanding of who we are and why we keep doing this, despite the brutal hopelessness of it all.”
“We’re in for each other, and we’re in it for the songs. That’s it. We’re in it because there’s something magic between us now. There’s a certain chemistry that can only come sharing these heartaches. We are brothers and life’s weight cannot pull us apart.”
