More Good Boy More Good Boy

Good Boy. We love this band, not least because they kept their sense of humour when they were stranded in the middle of freakin' nowhere (and only barely kept their wits about them) and recently got everyone talking about them at BIGSOUND. (We kinda knew that would happen, TBH.) So you can understand our delight when we were given the chance to premiere the Brisbane trio's new EP, Plum, today.

The dolewave act's EP features singles Poverty Line and S.O.G.K, the latter a fresh single that singer Rian King says is about freedom.

"I'm for freedom, total freedom including the right to freely practice religion. But if anyone was to ask me on my views regarding religion, I'll tell you it’s all a big waste of time. I really don't like being preached to. That’s pretty much it. Yeah."

Mixed and mastered by Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring), we reckon Plum will be one of 2016's most exciting releases for its catchy guitar lines and insightful lyricisms. The band are playing on Festival Of The Sun and are currently setting off on their own east coast tour dates from 7 October until 29 October. Head to theGuide for more details.
