PREMIERE: Alesa Lajana - Frontier Lullaby

Country singer and banjoist Alesa Lajana is premiering her brand new video with theMusic.com.au today — the title track from her recently released EP, Frontier Lullaby.

The stunning bluegrass ballad is a delicate story about the tragic events surrounding the Hornet Bank Station Massacre in Queensland back in 1857. Frontier Lullaby is not the only song with inspiration steeped deep in Australian history — the entire EP is filled with stories of Australia from post-European contact, our landscapes and our past.

Shot by Tristan Pemberton at Flywire Films, the video is set in the glowing countryside under a large old tree, as we see the harrowing image of a man burying himself (played by Ivan Clarke).

Lajana will be embarking on an album launch tour this October around the east coast, starting 2 October until 30 October.
