Presumably you’ve been to the Newtown Festival before, what’s your best memory? Once I was watching bands with my dad when a passing dog pissed on my dad’s back. My dad then took his piss-covered shirt off and another dog pissed on his bare back.

What’s first and why – bands or stalls or bars? I’d recommend stalls in the morning or later in the arvo, not at peak time in the middle of the day. All afternoon is perfect for bands. And bars are for any time!

Favourite spot at the festival to chill and watch the world go by? In the back part on the grass in front of the main stage, or up against the cemetery wall. Hanging with all the dogs.

What would be your entry into the dog show? Well I don’t have a dog so I guess I’d be entering my rabbit and trying to pass it off as a dog.

Aside from the festival, what are your favourite Newtown locations? The park on any sunny non-festival day, up a tree in the cemetery, Repressed Records, Egg Records, heaps more.

Why do you think your band is a good fit for the Newtown Festival? We play songs, and we Slip Slop Slap.

You’re off stage and post-set, where’s your next stop at the festival? The bar, then Richard In Your Mind on the Federation Stage at 1.30pm.

When and where are you performing on the day? 12.50pm, Essential Stage.
