Listen: Grace Barbé - Home

Barbé is back with an uplifting new single of Afro-Kreol goodness just in time for summer.

More GUM GUM Profile

Fresh off the back of winning her 13th WAM award for “Best Global Act”, having joined The Cat Empire on bass and vocals, and recently releasing the GUM & Ginoli remix of her cut Fatige, W.A. music mainstay Grace Barbé has one last surprise left for the year, in the form of the rousing new cut of Afro-Kreol goodness that is Home.

A homage to the motherland, Barbé explains “Home is sung in English, the lyrics suggestive of slaves or even migrants yearning for home, but is hopeful, vibrant and defiant rather than sorrowful. It’s about going back and reconnecting with the motherland.

Released today, it’s time to go Home!
