Have You Heard: The Glorious Sousaphonics

Answered by: Sam Golding

When did you start making music and why? When we were all very young we started banging pots and pans, black and white keys, other siblings. Mostly encouraged by grown-ups around us.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Brass, drums, voice, guitar.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? One album for eternity sounds like hell. I would opt out of that. If not then I'd ask for some Bert Kaempfert. Soothing and pleasant and predictable.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? The dried fruit incident on the road to Geelong. Say no more...

Why should people come and see your band? Charisma, vocal harmonies, virtuosity and Trumpian confidence minus the offensiveness.

When and where for your next gig? 18 Aug, Gasoline Pony, Marrickville.
