When did you start making music and why? We started Beyond Contempt around three years ago as a passion project and to see where it could go. We all enjoy creating fast and energetic music, and this band is a fun outlet.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Short, fast, loud, intense.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? The Bronx's first self-titled album. Because it's got groove, intensity, great hooks, and every song is great. I've thrashed it regularly for seven years and I'm not sick of it yet.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? I'd like to think it was the crowd reaction to our last EP launch, but my band might say it was the crowd reaction to me getting my head split open by a bass guitar at a gig last year.

Why should people come and see your band? 13 songs in under 30 minutes. We're intense and play the same whether the room is full or half empty.
