When did you start making music and why? I started making music at six years old with my family. It was a game for me. Music was a part of my childhood and neighbourhood. It was very natural to express myself through music.

Sum up your musical sound in four words... Rock'n'roots desert blues.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? I think it would be African Blues from Ali Farka Toure because it was one of the tapes of my youth and the songs are very special to me.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? It is very difficult to choose just one moment, but two very special moments in my musical career have been to reach #1 for Best Album Of The Year on the 2014 and 2016 World Music Charts Europe.

Why should people come and see your band? To enjoy music inspired by the ancient sounds of the Western Sahara.
