Who/what is the benefit for? Great Barrier Reef

Why do they need help? It's currently being devastated by massive bleaching caused by climate change and other impacts. The reef is a vital natural resource that employs 70,000 people and is an iconic Natural Wonder of the World. Global warming caused by fossil fuels is killing the reef.

What's the current situation like? Scientists are saying we may only have a few years before the reef is dead, it has already shrunk by 50% since the '80s. We must act now by electing The Greens on 2 July.

Who else is helping on the night? There's an awesome line-up of music including Jay and Lindsay from Frenzal Rhomb, Georgia Maq from Camp Cope, The Good Ship, Gentle Ben & His Sensitive Side, Evil Eddie, plus Greens Senator Scott Ludlam DJing.

When and where can we help out? The Triffid, Sunday 5 June, from 2pm til late
