1. Fast Times At Ridgemont High -

This movie, quite literally, was my guide to growing up.

2. Pretty In Pink -

It was a tough business choosing a single John Hughes movie. But I landed here. Look, if Fast Times was my father, Pretty In Pink was definitely my mother. Figuring out the growing up thing, getting through it, punks vs. preps, "I just want to let them know that they didn't break me." and, you know, Molly Ringwald.

3. Valley Girl -

Really, just dig on the soundtrack—The Plimsouls, Psychedelic Furs, Modern English and on and on.

4. Rushmore -

I love, like, really love everything Wes Anderson makes. But, yeah, this keeps being my favourite. I'm not entirely sure why. It's that same kind of magic I feel when I listen to "Too Much Kissing" by Senseless Things. It just lands in the exact spot I need landing.

5. The Science Of Sleep -

It's just so brilliant, you know? The whole idea of this thing is a head-sparker. I wish Michel Gondry directed real-life. I would really dig living there.

‘The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us’ is due out October 30 via Cooking Vinyl Australia. Pre-orders are available via: Getmusic.com.au and iTunes.
