"I'll be bringing a group of amazing managers together to talk about what they did to get their artists exposure overseas."

Name: Yvette Myhill

Position: Executive Director - Association of Artist Managers (AAM)

How did you first become involved in the music business? I started in music as the accountant for the Australian Chamber Orchestra and worked with international performing artists, and from there moved to a role managing finances and ticketing for Splendour in the Grass.

What's your area of expertise and what experience do you have? Now I work with the Association of Artist Managers (AAM) helping band managers to keep up to date with what is happening in the industry, advocating on their behalf and providing advice on managing artists.

What topics will you be mostly talking about at Face The Music? I'll be bringing a group of amazing managers together to talk about what they did to get their artists exposure overseas. International deals and negotiations, and basics hints and tips for touring and recording internationally.

What do you hope to personally take away from Face The Music? We have more new managers coming out of Victoria at the moment than any other state. Can't wait to talk to everyone and find out what's inspiring them to take up management as a career.

What's one question about the music industry you'd love to have the answer to? Why aren't there more female songwriters in Australia?
